Natalie is a Senior Associate with the firm. Natalie has been a practicing attorney for more than twenty years with emphasis on medical-legal issues. Prior to practicing law, Natalie studied physiological psychology (neuroscience) and spent several years doing scientific research in learning and memory, drugs of abuse, and sleep disorders. Natalie’s background as a medical researcher gives her a deeper understanding of the challenges that medical providers and health-related businesses face in a heavily regulated and increasingly litigious world. She is driven by the intellectual challenge of navigating the legal steppingstones to help clients build a business, solve a problem or right a wrong.
Natalie began her legal career at a prestigious defense firm in Arizona. There, among other things, she defended physicians, dentists, and manufacturers of medical devices against claims of negligence. Following this, Natalie co-founded a boutique law firm and spent the majority of her professional time as a trial lawyer handling medical malpractice claims.
Natalie’s professional accomplishments include an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. This is the highest level of peer rating for legal ability, communication skills, and ethical standards. It is an achievement held by only about ten percent of attorneys. What Natalie is most proud of in her career, however, is the personal relationships she has built over the last twenty years of practice and knowing that her work has made a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients and their businesses.
Natalie grew up in Canada and moved to the United States in 1993. She is an accomplished equestrian and animal lover. Her knowledge of equestrianism has enabled her to handle complex transactional matters for horse owners and horse-related businesses.
